November 21, 2008If you want all the events for a city then you should use events notification via email. The email contains full information about the event. It has full event description along with pictures.
You should setup an alert when you want specific types of events. For example if you want all the music related events in Pune then you should setup and alert for ‘music in Pune’. If you want all drama related events in Delhi then you should setup an alert for ‘drama events in Delhi’.
So alerts are good if want certain types of events. If you want all the events in a city then use events notificaiton
If you do not receive the activation code in the email even after 3 or 4 minutes then look into the
bulk/junk/spam folder of your email. Sometimes email sent with your activation code is put into the
spam/junk/bulk folder by yahoo, hotmail, gmail, rediffmail etc.
If you still have problem in getting your activation code then you can follow the given steps to
get another email with activation code.

Why it is preferable to post my question as a comment instead of sending an email using contact us?
November 21, 2008When an email to sent to us then the email goes to our team. One of our team members looks at the email and the team member tries to find answer to your question. However many questions like who all are participating in the events, how can I get tickets to the events can only be answered by the event organizers. So we try to contact the event organizer to get the answer.
Some of the event organizers visit EventsInIndia.com regularly to answer any comments anyone might have. If a question is posted as comment then the event organizer might answer the question even before we ask him.
Sometimes we get the same question from three or four people. If the question and the answer is posted as a comment then it will benefit everyone. If we get a question in email and we provide the answer in email then there is no way to track it. If the same question is asked three weeks later then we will have to find the answer again. If the question and answer is posted as comments then they are there forever.

November 21, 2008EventsInIndia.com is an event discovery site which lists all the events happening in a city. We are currently providing intership and are looking for interns who could help us grow.
The job includes getting the list of upcoming events for your city. Once the information has been collected then the person will enter all that information at www.EventsInIndia.com . While adding an event a brief description of the upcoming event, contact information, venue address etc is needed.
The candiate will also be responsible for developing a network of event managers and event organizers to get the future events information in a smooth manner.
The candidate should get DJs, event performers, artists etc in the loop so that they can participate in the promotion of the site. Also they can provide lead to events.
EventsInIndia.com is an open site. Anyone can add events. Although initially the candidate will enter events so that event organizers/manager do not have to do the work of entering events themselves, the candidate should also slowly let people enter their own events if they have access to computer.
The candidate will be working on his or her own. Once a day person will discuss the matter with the Content Manager. The candidate will have to decide the working hours and the work style on his/her own. This job does not have to be your full-time job. We are also looking for candidates who want to take up this job as a part-time job.
The candidate should be able to speak and write grammatically correct English. Good networking skill and communication skill will be a great asset.
